So I was catching up on my daily gossip when I ran across this trailer for the movie Dear John. It looks utterly romantic in a non-cheesy way (okay, maybe not). It stars Amanda Seyfried as Savannah and Channing Tatum as John. I’m not a big Channing Tatum fan (though I did enjoy She’s The Man), but this role seems completely different from other roles he has taken on and I must say his acting does not look that bad in this trailer (we’ll see about the movie). In case it matters, this movie is based on Dear John by Nicholas Sparks.
I loved her in Mean Girls (favorite lines from the movie: [Karen] I can’t go out. [fakes cough] I’m sick. [Regina] Boo, you whore.) I loved her in Mamma Mia! … And now I love these pictures from her photo shoot in Allure.
Premiered: January 16th, 2009
U.S. Theatrical Release: August 28th, 2009
The September 2007 issue of Vogue magazine weighed nearly five pounds, and was the single largest issue of a magazine ever published. With unprecedented access, The September Issue, directed and produced by R.J. Cutler, tells the story of legendary Vogue editor in chief Anna Wintour and her larger-than-life team of editors creating the issue and ruling the world of fashion.
I have not had a chance to listen to Demi Lovato’s new CD, Here We Go Again, yet, but I love her cover picture for the album and for the single “Here We Go Again“. Pink lipstick. Pretty colors. Antique background.
I love the overall look of these photos of Zooey Deschanel from Self Magazine. It’s bright, vivid, vibrant. It’s summer. Flowers. Lying on the grass. Bike rides. Summer dresses.
I want to watch this: (500) Days of Summer. It’s not your typical love story. This is a story of boy meets girl. It stars Joseph-Gordon Levitt (boy) and Zooey Deschanel (girl). It was released in theaters on July 17, 2009.
I must say the photos of Emma Watson for the August 2009 issue of Teen Vogue were perhaps the best in the magazine’s history. Everything comes together so well from the lighting to the scenery/set to the clothes (simply fabulous) to the makeup to the colors. It just works. Brilliant!
Emma Watson for Burberry: Autumn/Winter 2009 Ad Campaign
(photographed by fashion photographer Mario Testino in Westminster, England)
When I first saw this, I was thinking that girl could not possibly be Hermoine Granger. In fact, it is not the bushy-haired, plain Hermoine from the Harry Potter movies. Rather, it is Emma Watson. She’s entering the world of high fashion and, I must say, she looks absolutely gorgeous in these ads for Burberry. It’s classy with a modern edge to it.
I am a huge Gilmore Girls fan, which, by default, makes me an Alexis Bledel fan. (She will forever be Rory Gilmore in my mind.) She has a new movie coming out this summer (8/21/09) called Post Grad. Alexis takes on the role of Ryden Malby, a college graduate who “is forced to move back into her childhood home with her eccentric family, while she attempts to find a job, the right guy, and just a hint of where her life is headed” (IMDB). The trailer makes this movie seem like my kind of movie and I hope it does not disappoint.
Look out world!
Twenty-something trying to make her mark on the world (for the better). Along the way, things are seen, things are heard, things are thought about…and then things are written about.
